Nadat directeur Joost Thooft in 1876 de touwtjes in handen kreeg, werd de productie van traditioneel Delfts met enthousiasme hervat. Wat betreft vorm en decoratie borduurde men zoals bekend in grote lijnen voort op het assortiment van weleer.
